At The Crafty Place, our team is made up of creative, energetic moms who love helping kids explore their imagination. Whether we’re guiding a craft project, hosting a birthday party, or planning a special event, our goal is to create a fun and welcoming experience for every child who walks through our doors.

Owner, Creative Director
Melissa Hare created The Crafty Place to bring creativity, celebration, and connection together in one welcoming space.  With a strong background in crafting, she loves using her own skills to help children and adults learn new passions and feel inspired.  Her favorite part of working here is seeing children gain confidence as they explore their creativity.

Events Manager
Emma Black lives in Hingham with her husband and their 3 boys, dog and cat. She has been working at The Crafty Place since 2024 and is happy to be part of such a fun team. She has worked with kids for years, and enjoys that she can put her organization and crafting abilities to good use! When not working, she loves spending time with her family, especially boating in the summer!

Creative Programs Coordinator
A South Shore resident, Meggan lives with her husband and three daughters, all enthusiastic crafters. Her background in corporate retail and entrepreneurship has shaped her strong work ethic, leadership skills, and creative mindset. She combines business experience with a genuine love for crafting to build meaningful, hands-on experiences.

Community Engagement and Programs Manager
Jess is so excited to be joining The Crafty Place team! She has always loved channeling her creativity. She’s inspired to be in a space where both kids and adults are amazed by the projects and décor around them. She can’t wait to be part of all the special moments ahead. Let's get crafty!
